The UP Farmer Registry allows farmers in Uttar Pradesh to register their details and link their farmer profile with the relevant land records. After registration, farmers can use the official portal to check their enrollment status, view farmer details and access other available services. They can also use the official Farmer Registry mobile app for the registration process. This guide explains how to register, verify land details, check application status, add missing land records and submit a grievance.
What Is the UP Farmer Registry?
The UP Farmer Registry is a government initiative that creates a unique Farmer ID for each registered farmer in Uttar Pradesh. The system connects a farmer's identity and relevant agricultural land records to create a digital farmer profile.
The registry is part of the wider AgriStack initiative, which aims to improve digital agricultural services and help government departments deliver relevant schemes and services more efficiently.
Farmers can start the registration process through the official UP Farmer Registry portal. The state also provides an Android application for farmers who prefer to use a mobile phone.

Documents and Information Required for UP Farmer Registry
Before starting registration, keep the following information ready. The exact details requested may depend on the information already available in the system and the options shown during registration.
- Aadhaar details: Keep your Aadhaar number ready for identity verification. You can read more about the document in our guide to the Aadhaar Card.
- Aadhaar-linked mobile number: You may need this number to receive OTPs for verification and eSign.

Do not enter land information based on guesswork. If the name, survey number or other ownership details do not match your records, check the relevant revenue record before proceeding.
How to Register for UP Farmer Registry Online
Farmers can use the self-registration facility on the official portal. The process involves creating an account, entering personal details, adding land information and completing the required authentication.
Step 1: Open the Official UP Farmer Registry Website
Visit the UP Farmer Registry portal. Use the official website rather than an unknown website offering Farmer ID registration.
Locate the farmer login or self-registration facility. If you have not created a self-login account, start with the account-creation process.
Step 2: Create Your Self-Login Account
The official self-mode manual explains how a farmer can create an account. Follow these steps:
- Click the sign-up option on the portal.
- Enter your Aadhaar number in the requested field.
- Submit the information.
- Enter the OTP sent to the mobile number linked with your Aadhaar.
- Verify the OTP and allow the portal to retrieve the available farmer details.
- Enter your mobile number when asked and complete its OTP verification.
- Create a password and enter it again to confirm it.
- Submit the details and wait for the account-creation confirmation.
After creating your account, return to the login page. Enter your mobile number and password, complete the captcha and sign in.
Already registered through CSC, Sahayak or a camp? The portal displays a notice asking farmers registered through these assisted modes to activate self-login access through the Create new user account option. Follow that instruction if you need to activate your own login.
Step 3: Select the Farmer Registration Option
After signing in, click Register as Farmer. Read the instructions displayed on the screen and proceed to the registration form.
Move through the form using the available Next buttons. Check the information on each screen before moving to the next step.
Step 4: Check Your Farmer and Residential Details
The portal may retrieve some of your details automatically. Review the information carefully and follow the form's instructions.
When the farmer's residential details have not been retrieved correctly, the self-mode manual shows an Insert latest residential details option. Use it where available to enter the required updated information.
Select the appropriate village from the dropdown list and complete the other requested fields. Also review the farmer ownership and farmer-type information shown in the form.
Step 5: Fetch Your Agricultural Land Details
This is an important part of the registration process because the portal checks the land information associated with the farmer.
- Open the land ownership or land details section.
- Click Fetch Land Details where the option appears.
- Select the relevant village.
- Enter the survey number requested by the portal.
- Submit the details to retrieve the available land information.
- Select the appropriate owner's name from the list, where the portal provides one.
- Click Show Land Details to review the retrieved information.
- Use the available selection boxes to choose the relevant land parcel.
- Click Add to include the selected land.
- Repeat the process if you need to add other land parcels.
- Click Verify All Lands when you have finished adding the land details.
Check each entry before continuing. The system compares the farmer's name and land-record information, and the name-match score may affect how the application is processed.
Step 6: What If Your Name Does Not Appear in the Landowner List?
The official manual also describes a route for retrieving land information through the Record of Rights (RoR) process. The exact options depend on the information available in the portal.
- Open the land-details section and select the relevant tehsil, sub-tehsil and village where requested.
- Enter the survey number and submit the information.
- If your name is missing from the owner list, use the My name is not there in the list of owners option where it is available.
- Select the appropriate sub-survey number if the portal asks you to do so.
- Click Show Land Details.
- Review the available land information and select the correct entry.
- Click Add to include the land.
- Repeat the process for any other relevant land parcels and use Verify All Lands when finished.
If you cannot find the correct land record, do not select an unrelated owner's entry just to complete registration. Check your details against the official UP Bhulekh land-record portal and seek assistance if the discrepancy remains.
Step 7: Review the Declaration and Complete eSign
Once you have entered the required farmer and land information, follow the consent, declaration and eSign steps shown by the portal.
- Review the information you have entered.
- Select the required consent and declaration checkboxes.
- Submit the declaration.
- Proceed to the Farmer eSign section.
- Select the OTP-based Aadhaar authentication option when prompted.
- Enter your Aadhaar number and the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
- Complete the requested confirmation and submit the information.
Wait for the portal to display the result of the submission. Keep in mind that submitting the registration does not necessarily mean that the Farmer ID has already been approved.
How to Register Through the UP Farmer Registry Mobile App
Farmers who prefer using a smartphone can access the official Android application. The app is available through Google Play.
Download the official UP Farmer Registry app
Step 1: Install the Official App
Open the Google Play link above on your Android phone. Check the application details and install the Farmer Registry app.
Use the official listing to avoid downloading an unrelated application. Do not share your Aadhaar OTP or password with another person.
Step 2: Create an Account or Sign In
Open the app and follow the account-creation or login instructions displayed on your screen. If you are using the self-registration facility for the first time, complete the required account setup and mobile verification.
If you have already created a self-login account through the portal, use the login option available in the app where supported.
Step 3: Enter Your Farmer Details
Follow the app's instructions to enter or verify the requested personal, residential and farmer information. Review any details retrieved automatically before moving forward.
Step 4: Add and Verify Your Land Information
Open the land-details section and follow the available instructions to retrieve the relevant land records. Select the correct village and survey details, review the owner information and add the appropriate land parcels.
Check the entries carefully. If the correct land record does not appear, verify the information against your revenue records rather than selecting an incorrect entry.
Step 5: Complete Verification and Submit
Complete the required declarations, authentication and eSign steps displayed by the app. After submission, use the official enrollment-status facility to check the application's progress if needed.
Important: The available screens and options can differ between the website and the mobile app. Follow the instructions displayed in the official app. If a service or option is not available there, use the relevant facility on the official portal.
How to Check UP Farmer Registry Application Status
After submitting your registration, you can check its status through the official enrollment-status page. You do not need to guess whether the application has been approved; use the status facility to check the available result.
Open the Check Enrollment Status page
Follow These Steps to Check Your Status
- Open the official Check Enrollment Status page.
- Find the Check Status Against section.
- Select one of the available options: Aadhaar Number or Farmer ID.
- Enter the requested number.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to request and verify the OTP, where prompted.
- Check the status displayed by the portal and follow any further instructions provided.
The portal states that the OTP is sent to the mobile number linked with Aadhaar. Make sure you can access that number before starting the verification process.
How to View Farmer Details on the UP Farmer Registry Portal
The portal has a separate facility for viewing farmer details. This is different from checking the status of an enrollment application.
Open the View Farmer Details page
To use this facility:
- Open the official View Farmer Details page.
- Locate the Search By Farmer Aadhaar Number field.
- Enter the requested Aadhaar number.
- Complete the OTP verification and follow the instructions shown on the screen.
- Review the farmer information displayed by the portal.
Enter the details carefully and use only the official website. This facility may require identity verification before displaying information.
How to Add Missing Land Details After Farmer ID Approval
A farmer may discover that a land parcel was left out during the initial registration. The UP Farmer Registry self-mode manual describes an Update Farmer Request (UFR) process for adding land parcels omitted during the original registration.
Important: According to the manual, the UFR facility can be used only after the Farmer ID has been approved.
Step 1: Check Whether Your Farmer ID Has Been Approved
Open the official Check Enrollment Status page and check your enrollment status. Continue with the update process after approval.
Step 2: Sign In to Your Farmer Account
Open the UP Farmer Registry portal and sign in using your registered mobile number, password and captcha. If you registered through CSC, Sahayak or a camp and have not activated self-login, follow the portal's account-creation instructions first.
Step 3: Open the Update Information Section
After signing in, click Update My Information. Open the land ownership and land details section, then select + Add New Land (Owned) to start adding the omitted land parcel.
Step 4: Retrieve and Select the Missing Land
- Select the relevant tehsil, sub-tehsil and village as requested.
- Enter the survey number.
- If your name does not appear in the owner list, use My name is not there in the list of owners where available to retrieve land details from the live RoR or Bhulekh records.
- Select the appropriate sub-survey number when prompted.
- Review the owner list and select the correct land entry.
- Click the option to add the land details.
- Repeat the process if you need to add more omitted land parcels.
- Click Verify All Land and review the entries.
Step 5: Submit the Land Update Request
After checking the land information, use Update Land Ownership and Land Details to submit the request. The portal will process the update according to its verification rules.
The manual explains that the name-match score affects how the request is handled. A score of 80 or above is described as eligible for automatic acceptance under the stated process, while scores from 16 to 79 require Lekhpal approval. The manual also states that a score below 15 is automatically rejected during the initial registration process.
These score rules relate to the verification process described in the manual. If your request needs review, check the portal for its current status and any further instructions.
How to Submit a Farmer Registry Grievance
If you need to raise an issue related to the Farmer Registry, open the grievance facility on the official portal.
Open the UP Farmer Registry grievance page
Steps to Access the Grievance Facility
- Open the official Farmer Grievance page.
- Find the State/UT field and select the relevant state or Union Territory.
- Select the appropriate District.
- Select the relevant Taluka.
- Select the correct Village.
- Click Apply to proceed.
- Follow the additional instructions or fields displayed by the portal.
Make sure that the selected location matches the area relevant to your grievance. The options shown in the location dropdowns may depend on the state and district you select.
If the portal displays additional fields after you click Apply, complete them according to the instructions on the screen. Do not assume that selecting a village alone completes the grievance submission.
What to Do If You Do Not Receive the Aadhaar OTP
The official self-mode manual identifies two possible reasons for OTP delays: a temporary UIDAI server issue or a mobile number that is not linked with the farmer's Aadhaar.
If the OTP does not arrive, try the following:
- Wait briefly and try again if the portal allows another OTP request.
- Check whether your Aadhaar-linked mobile number is active and accessible.
- Make sure you entered the Aadhaar number correctly.
- If the issue continues, contact the official Farmer Registry helpdesk for guidance.
Do not share an OTP with anyone who contacts you claiming they can complete the registration on your behalf.
Important Instructions for Farmers
- Use the official portal or app: Start from the UP Farmer Registry website or its official Android app listing.
- Keep your Aadhaar-linked mobile accessible: OTP verification may be required during account creation and eSign.
- Check land details carefully: Confirm the village, survey number and owner information before adding a land parcel.
- Do not confuse submission with approval: Check the enrollment status after submitting your application.
- Activate self-login when required: Farmers registered through CSC, Sahayak or a camp should follow the portal's notice about creating a new user account.
- Use UFR only when eligible: The manual states that the Update Farmer Request facility for adding omitted land is available after Farmer ID approval.
- Protect your personal information: Never share your Aadhaar OTP, password or other authentication details with unknown people.
