Nagaland has introduced a unique Ration Card category called the GHH (General Household) Scheme under its Tide-over scheme for indigenous Nagaland citizens with annual income above Rs. 2.50 lakh - a category specifically for families not covered under the central NFSA AAY and PHH schemes. No other state has this type of scheme. Another unique feature of Nagaland's PDS is the active involvement of Village Councils in distribution and monitoring - a reflection of the state's traditional self-governance structure. The eldest female member (18+) of the family is named as the Head of Family for ration card issuance - confirmed through an official circular from the Directorate of Food and Civil Supplies, Nagaland. All ration card services are managed by the Department of Food and Civil Supplies, Government of Nagaland at fcs.nagaland.gov.in.

  • Visit your designated Fair Price Shop with Aadhaar cards of all family members
  • Complete fingerprint biometric authentication on the ePoS device
  • If fingerprint fails, OTP on Aadhaar-linked mobile is used

Workers from other states coming to Nagaland for construction and infrastructure projects can also collect their home state ration at Nagaland FPS shops.
