Online self-application through the portal is free of charge.

Samagra ID: MP's Unique Requirement

Madhya Pradesh is one of the few states where a state-specific family ID is mandatory for applying for certificates on the official portal. Every MP resident is registered in the Samagra Portal and has a Samagra Member ID (8-digit individual ID) and a Samagra Family ID (9-digit family ID).

For the EWS certificate application on mpedistrict.gov.in, your Samagra ID must be entered and your Samagra e-KYC must be updated, meaning your Aadhaar must be linked and verified in the Samagra system. If your Samagra e-KYC is not updated, the portal will not allow you to complete the application. Update your Samagra e-KYC at samagra.gov.in before applying if it has not been done.

To find your Samagra ID, visit samagra.gov.in, click on Search Family or Member, and search using your Aadhaar, mobile number, or name and address.

Documents Required

Keep the following documents ready before starting the application:

  • Aadhaar Card of the applicant (used for OTP-based login on the portal)
  • Samagra Member ID (8-digit individual Samagra ID). Samagra e-KYC must be current
  • Income proof: Salary slips or Form 16 for salaried persons; Income Tax Return; or a self-declaration of income with supporting documents for farmers and self-employed persons
  • Khasra and B-1 Khatauni: Land record documents from the MP Bhulekh system showing agricultural land held by family members. These are the current year's land records. If your family owns no agricultural land, submit a self-declaration to that effect
  • Property documents: Sale deed or property tax receipt showing area of any residential property owned by family members. If no property is owned, include this in the self-declaration
  • Residence proof: Domicile Certificate, ration card, or Aadhaar Card showing MP address
  • PAN Card of the applicant and earning family members
  • Passport-size photograph of the applicant in JPG format
  • Self-declaration or affidavit stating total family income from all sources is below Rs. 8 lakh and that asset limits are not exceeded
