A Domicile Certificate is an official document that proves a person is a permanent resident of a particular stateโin this case, Madhya Pradesh (MP). It is used to avail the benefits of state government schemes, reservation quotas, education, and job opportunities.
โ Eligibility Criteria
Domicile Certificate (Permanent Resident Certificate) by the Madhya Pradesh Government will be issued to only those residents who fulfill the following eligibility conditions :-
- Born in Madhya Pradesh and currently residing in the state.
- Residing in Madhya Pradesh for at least 10 years.
- Applicant is a woman and married to a permanent resident of MP.

Residents of Madhya Pradesh can apply for a Domicile Certificate in various ways. MP Domicile Certificate Application Process through all available methods is mentioned below :-
๐ท Online Process through Lok Seva Guarantee Portal MP
- Applicant can apply to obtain Domicile Certificate of Madhya Pradesh Government by applying online it through Lok Seva Guarantee Portal. (Edistrict Portal of MP)
- Visit the Madhya Pradesh Government's Lok Seva Guarantee Portal and click on Citizen Registration.
- A citizen registration form will appear in which the applicant will have to fill in the following details :-
- The portal will verify the Mobile Number of the Application through OTP authentication.
- Log in on the portal again with your Email ID/ Mobile Number and Password.
- After Login, click on Citizen Services Apply.
- A screen will appear in which multiple services of the Madhya Pradesh Government is written, you have to choose the first one "Domicile Certificate Application Format", and click on View & Apply.
- Scroll down a litte bit and click on Apply which is written in front of Online.
- A detailed application form of the domicile certificate of Madhya Pradesh will appear on the screen, which have to be filled by the applicant.
- The applicant will have to upload all the required documents on the portal.
- Application for Domicile Certificate is free, the applicant doesn't have any need to pay any charges at the time of applying through Lok Seva Guarantee Portal.
- Lok Seva Guarantee Portal will generate the Registration Number after the successful submission of the application form.
- Respective officials will verify the details and documents and issue the Digitally Signed Domicile Certificate of Madhya Pradesh.
๐ทThrough Lok Seva Kendra
- Every District has a Lok Seva Kendra, mostly situated in government offices, through which applicants can apply for their Domicile Certificate.
- Just visit your district's Lok Seva Kendra with all your documents.
- Officials present at the Kendra will fill the Domicile Certificate Application of the applicant.
- A copy of the scanned document will be uploaded on the portal by the officials.
- The applicant will have to pay the nominal fees at the Kendra.
- Domicile Certificate application will be forwarded to the concerned officials for processing.
- Applicant will receive their digitally signed domicile certificate within 7 to 15 working days.

๐ท Through MP Online Kiosk
- Government of Madhya Pradesh through its MP Online Kiosk facility, also provided the service to the residents to apply for a Domicile Certificate.
- You have to visit your nearest KIOSK to apply for the MP Domicile Certificate.
- Here is the District wise List of MP Online Limited KIOSK.
- Visit the nearest KIOSK with all your documents.
- Employees present there will fill out the MP Domicile Certificate application form of application and upload all the documents.
- Pay the application/ service fees and the operator will give the acknowledgement receipt to the applicant.
- After verification, if all details are found to be correct, the application will get the Domicile Certificate of the MP Government.
๐ท Through the CSC Centre
- Applicant can also apply through the Common Service Centre (CSC) to get their Domicile Certificate of the MP Government.
- Locate your nearest CSC and visit it along with all the original documents.
- The agent will fill out the online application form of the domicile certificate on behalf of the applicant and upload it in PDF format after scanning it.
- The applicant will have to pay a nominal charge to the CSC agent.
- An acknowledgment receipt will be provided to the applicant for future reference and tracking of the application.
- After verification, the applicant will receive their Domicile Certificate which can be downloaded from Lok Seva Guarantee Portal.
โฑ๏ธ Processing Time
- The general processing time of issuing the Domicile Certificate in Madhya Pradesh is 7 to 15 days with lifetime validity.
๐งพ Check Application Status Online
- After submitting the online application for the Domicile Certificate of MP, the applicant can check the application status online.
- It is advisable to check the status on a regular basis to avoid any delay or rejection.
- To check the MP Domicile Certificate Application Status, Click on Application Status from home page.
- Fill in Registration Number or Mobile and Click on Search.
- The portal will display the current application status of the applicant's domicile certificate.
๐ฅ Certificate Download Process
- Login in to the Lok Seva Guarantee Portal of the Madhya Pradesh Government.
- Choose My Application from the sidebar.
- Select the Domicile Certificate Application and Click on Download Certificate.
- The portal will download the Digitally Signed Madhya Pradesh Government Domicile Certificate in PDF format.
