Karnataka recently changed its Ration Card application process. The direct online application option on the Ahara portal has been removed by the Department of Food and Civil Supplies. Citizens now apply through the Seva Sindhu portal for APL/NPHH cards and through Janaseva centres or Fair Price Shops for PHH/BPL and AAY cards. If you are searching for the old ahara.kar.nic.in portal — it now redirects to ahara.karnataka.gov.in.
The official Ahara portal at ahara.karnataka.gov.in is the main platform for all ration card services in Karnataka, managed by the Department of Food and Civil Supplies. The old domain ahara.kar.nic.in now redirects to this portal.
Important change: The direct online application option on ahara.karnataka.gov.in has been removed by the department. Applications for new ration cards are now submitted through the Seva Sindhu portal (for APL/NPHH cards) or through the Janaseva centres and FPS shops (for PHH/BPL and AAY cards).
