An SC Caste Certificate, officially called Jati Praman Patra in Uttarakhand, is the official document that proves your membership in a Scheduled Caste community notified for Uttarakhand under the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950. The Tehsildar or Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of your area issues this certificate. Without it, you cannot claim SC reservation in government jobs, education admissions, scholarship applications, or avail welfare scheme benefits.

Uttarakhand issues caste certificates through the Apuni Sarkar portal (eservices.uk.gov.in), which is the official online platform of the Uttarakhand government for all citizen services. You can also apply through a Common Service Centre (CSC) or directly at the Tehsil office.
