The Yoddha Portal (yoddhanorth.tripura.gov.in) is an official citizen reporting platform launched by the District Administration, North Tripura to help tackle major social issues through anonymous public participation. The portal enables citizens to report concerns related to drug abuse, child marriage, domestic violence, illegal immigration, ragging and other unlawful activities without revealing their identity.

The portal was officially inaugurated by Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on 15 July 2026 during the 70th edition of the Mukhyamantri Samipeshu programme held at the TIFT Conference Hall, Agartala. It is available online at yoddhanorth.tripura.gov.in and allows citizens to submit reports securely at any time.

The word "Yoddha" means "Warrior", reflecting the administration's vision of encouraging every responsible citizen to become a partner in protecting society. The portal has been designed with a strong focus on privacy. Reports can be submitted anonymously, and according to the administration, personally identifiable information such as the complainant's name, mobile number, location and IP address is not stored. All submissions are transmitted through an encrypted system to help protect the identity of the person reporting an incident.

What is the Yoddha Portal?

The Yoddha Portal is an official digital citizen reporting platform developed by the District Administration, North Tripura to encourage public participation in addressing serious social issues. Instead of remaining silent, residents can securely report incidents that require administrative attention while keeping their identity confidential.

The initiative focuses on problems such as drug abuse, child marriage, domestic violence, ragging, illegal immigration and other unlawful activities that affect public safety and community welfare. Its tagline, "The Warrior Within", highlights the idea that every citizen can contribute towards building a safer and more responsible society.

One of the portal's key features is its anonymous reporting mechanism. According to the district administration, complaints are submitted through an encrypted system without storing the complainant's name, mobile number, location or IP address, allowing citizens to share information without fear of retaliation.

The initiative is being led by the North Tripura District Administration under the leadership of District Magistrate Chandni Chandran, with Avinash Rai playing an important role in implementing the project at the district level.

What Can You Report Through the Yoddha Portal?

The Yoddha Portal currently allows citizens to submit anonymous reports under five major categories of social concern. Each report is forwarded to the concerned authorities for review and further action.

  • Drug Trafficking and Drug Abuse: Report information about drug peddling, illegal drug distribution, drug consumption hotspots or any suspicious narcotics-related activity in your locality, including areas near schools, colleges and public places.
  • Illegal Migration and Infiltration: Share information regarding suspected illegal immigration or infiltration that may require verification by the district administration or law enforcement agencies.
  • Child Marriage: Report incidents where a minor is being forced or pressured into marriage so that the concerned authorities can intervene at the earliest.
  • Ragging: Report ragging or harassment taking place in schools, colleges, universities or hostels. Both victims and witnesses can use the portal to submit information confidentially.
  • Domestic Violence: Report cases of domestic violence affecting yourself or someone in your neighbourhood to help the administration connect victims with appropriate assistance.

How to Submit an Anonymous Report on the Yoddha Portal

The reporting process has been kept simple so that anyone can submit information quickly while protecting their identity.

  1. Visit the official Yoddha Portal and click Submit Tip or Report Now.
  2. Fill in the online reporting form. You will be asked to provide the following details:
    • Name: Optional. Leave this field blank if you want to remain anonymous.
    • Mobile Number: Optional. Providing your phone number is not mandatory for submitting a report.
    • Complaint Category: Select the appropriate category, such as Drug Trafficking and Drug Abuse, Illegal Migration and Infiltration, Child Marriage, Ragging or Domestic Violence.
    • Location: Enter the village, town, locality or nearby landmark where the incident occurred or is taking place.
    • Police Station: Mention the police station that has jurisdiction over the reported location.
    • PIN Code: Enter the six-digit postal PIN code of the area.
    • Description of the Incident: Clearly explain what happened, when it happened and any other relevant information that may help the authorities verify the report. Avoid including your personal identity if you wish to remain anonymous.
    • Map Location: If available, you may pin the location on the interactive map or manually enter the latitude and longitude coordinates.
  3. Complete the CAPTCHA verification displayed on the page.
  4. Click Submit Tip Anonymously to send your report securely.
  5. After the report is submitted successfully, the portal generates a unique Follow-Up Token. Save this token carefully because it is the only way to check the progress of your report later.

According to the North Tripura District Administration, reports submitted through the portal are transmitted using encrypted communication, and personally identifiable information such as the complainant's IP address is not stored. The administration aims to review every tip within 24 hours. Citizens should ensure that the information they submit is genuine, as knowingly filing false or misleading complaints may attract legal action under applicable laws.

How to Check the Status of Your Submitted Tip

After submitting a report through the Yoddha Portal, you can monitor its progress using the unique Follow-Up Token generated at the time of submission. Since reports can be submitted anonymously, this token is the only way to access your complaint status online.

  1. Open the official Yoddha Portal and select the Follow-Up Tip option from the main menu.
  2. On the status tracking page, enter the Follow-Up Token that was issued after you submitted your report.
  3. Complete the required verification, if prompted, and click Check Status.
  4. The portal will display the latest progress of your submission while continuing to protect your identity.

Keep your Follow-Up Token in a safe place. Since anonymous reports are not linked to personal information, recovering a lost token may not always be possible. If you require assistance, contact the District Administration, North Tripura.
