Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
This policy covers the IFSC Code Finder at https://g.indiacustomercare.com/ifsc/ in every language. It explains what we collect when you use the site, why, and who else is involved. We do not sell personal information, and we never ask for your bank account number, card details, PIN, OTP or passwords.
1. Using the site without filling in anything
You can look up any IFSC, MICR or branch without giving us anything. This site sets no cookies of its own. When you open a page, the following is recorded:
- Web server logs. Like every website, our server records each request: IP address, date and time, page address, browser and device type (user agent) and the referring page. We use these to keep the site running and secure.
- Visitor log. A visit is logged only after you tap, click, press a key or scroll on the page. One line is stored per page: the date and time, your device type (desktop, mobile or tablet), your IP address, your country (a two-letter code such as IN, provided by Cloudflare, which delivers this site) and the page address without anything after a “?” or “#”. Later pages you open in the same tab within 30 minutes are logged too, without another tap. Known search-engine bots and automated browsers are filtered out: your browser’s user agent is checked for this but is not stored. No cookies are used; the only thing kept in your browser is a timing marker in session storage, which expires after 30 minutes and is cleared when you close the tab. This log is shared with India Customer Care’s other sites on the same server and is used to count real visits.
2. When you send us something
- Report an error (branch pages). We store the branch, the reason you chose, your comment, the email address if you give one (optional), your IP address and the time. Each report is kept in our records and some are emailed to the site owner so the data can be corrected. We use your email only to reply about that report.
- Subscribe to updates (branch pages). We store your email address, which updates you chose (one bank or all IFSC updates), the page language, your IP address and the times you signed up and confirmed. Nothing is sent until you click the link in the confirmation email (double opt-in). Every email has an unsubscribe link; after you unsubscribe we keep a record that you did, so we do not email you again.
- Contact us (link at the bottom of every page). We store what you type — your message, and your name, email address, mobile number and subject if you give them (all optional except the message) — together with your IP address, the date and time and the page you came from. The message is emailed to the site owner (at most a few emails an hour and a day; the rest are only stored) and is used only to read and answer it. An identical message sent again within 90 seconds is discarded without being stored.
- These forms use a simple sum question to stop spam; the error-report and subscribe forms also have per-IP limits.
3. Other companies whose services load on our pages
- Google Programmable Search — the search box in the header and the results page are provided by Google. What you type is sent to Google.
- Google AdSense — this site may show ads served by Google. When ads are shown, Google and its partners (third-party vendors) use cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — and your device details to show and measure ads, which can be based on your earlier visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads at Google Ad Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Google Maps — branch pages offer a map that loads only when you tap “Show on Google Maps”; loading it sends your IP address and browser details to Google.
- Bank holiday calendar — on state, district and branch pages your browser fetches the holiday list from holidays.indiacustomercare.com, a sister site run by India Customer Care.
- Share buttons are plain links: nothing is sent to WhatsApp, Facebook, X, LinkedIn or Telegram unless you click one.
- Weather on branch pages is fetched by our server using only the branch’s town and state — nothing about you.
These services follow their own privacy policies, including Google’s Privacy Policy.
4. How long we keep it
Server and visitor logs, contact messages, error reports and subscription records are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above and for security, and are deleted or rotated periodically. Subscription records are kept while you are subscribed, plus the unsubscribe record described above.
5. Your choices
- You can use every lookup on this site without giving any personal information.
- You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any email we send.
- You can ask us to see, correct or delete what we hold about you through our Contact us page.
6. About the data on this site
Branch details come from public lists published by the Reserve Bank of India and State Bank of India. We are not a bank and are not affiliated with any bank or with the RBI. Always confirm a code with your bank before sending money.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
