Domicile Certificate in Rajasthan is a legal document of residence in the state. This certificate is necessary when you are availing state-government schemes, admission under state quotas, government jobs exclusively of state - residents, scholarships, etc.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
A person will usually be qualified to a Rajasthan Domicile Certificate when one of the following conditions have been fulfilled:
- Born in Rajasthan
- Being a resident of the state of Rajasthan during a particular period of time (usually 5 years and above)
- The applicant parents are permanent citizens of Rajasthan.

When applying to the council of Rajasthan domicile certificate, the applicant is required to provide some documents. Below is a typical list:

🖥️ Rajasthan Domicile Certificate Application Process
The Domicile Certificate of Rajasthan Government is easily applicable by the residents of Rajasthan as they can apply it online via the Rajasthan Single Sign-on (SSO) site, via the Sewa Kendra and via the Offline Application Form.
Online through Rajasthan Single Sign-on (SSO) Website
It is one of the finest ways to apply for the Rajasthan Domicile certificate. Here are the steps you need to follow:
- The Rajasthan Government has a dedicated portal which is known Rajasthan Single Sign-on (SSO) as from where the citizen of Rajasthan can apply for their domicile certificate.
- To apply for the domicile certificate online, you just need to open the Rajasthan Single Sign on website. After that, click on Registration.

- In the Registration, there are two ways one if for Citizen and another is for Govt. Employees. In addition, there are two options for registration i.e., Jan Aadhaar and Google.

- Here, kindly mention the details such as Username, Password, Confirm Password, Mobile Number (A valid number) or Email id. After filling the details, click on Register.

- Once done with the registration process, one can login with their username and password.

- Now, the dashboard will open up where you need to look for E-Mitra.

- Now, fill the required details for the Rajasthan Domicile Certificate Online Application Form.
- Initially, the form will ask details like Name, Father Name, Date of birth, Permanent Address, Aadhaar Number, Purpose of Certificate. Provide all the information and make sure to check twice a time before submitting.
- Thereafter, submit scanned images of Aadhaar Card, Proof of Address (Ration Card, Voter ID, Electricity Bill, etc.), Passport-size Photograph, and Affidavit / Declaration (as per necessity).
- Now, after submitting the required documents pay the application fees which is around Rs 40. You may do online payment through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, and UPI.
- After the application has been checked and accepted, the portal provides the option of downloading the Bonafide Certificate.
- You will also be notified through an SMS.
🔷 Offline through Application Form
- Go to your local Tehsildar office, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) office or office of the District Collector.
- Collect the Rajasthan Bonafide Offline Application Form from the office.
- Complete the form and post photocopies of documents required.
- Hand in the form and the stipulated fee.
- Take the acknowledgement slip to keep records.
- The received application form and documents will be verified by the officials of the Tehsildar Office.
- In case the applicant is found to be eligible, Tehsildar of the concerned district will provide him with the Domicile Certificate.
- It takes 7-15 working days on average to process an issuance of a domicile certificate.

- In Rajasthan, the Domicile Certificate would have an average of 7-15days processing time from the date of application.
🧾 How to Check Application Status Online
- To find out the status of your application of Rajasthan domicile certificate, go to the official e-Mitra site (e-Mitra Rajasthan) and enter your Application ID or Registration Number to know the status of your application. A track application option could also be identified on the e-Mitra portal or citizen services portal. Applicant will have to open the e-Mitra Website and navigate to the official e-Mitra portal for Rajasthan: emitra.rajasthan.gov.in.
- Find the Tracking Option: Look for a "Track Application" or "Application Status" link on the homepage or in the citizen services section.
- Enter the Input Application Reference Number or Registration Number.
- The system will display the current status of domicile certificate application.
📥 Certificate Download Process
- To download your Rajasthan domicile certificate, go to the official e-Mitra website (Rajasthan e-Mitra), and choose the option of downloading certificate, provide your transaction ID, Aadhaar number and then select the option of Get Details to see and download your domicile certificate.
- Locate e-Mitra portal on Rajasthan which is located at https://emitra.rajasthan.gov.in/.
- Find and choose the button or link with the title of the site with the download certificate.
- Your next page would require you to enter your Aadhaar number and Transaction ID.
- Click the button of Get Details after inserting the needed information.
- The system will subsequently show your certificate of domicile which you could download on the screen.
