โ Eligibility Criteria
Gujarat Government will issue Domicile Certificate to only those applicants who meet the below mentioned eligibility criteria set by the government :-
- Applicant born in Gujarat and residing in the State for 10 years.
- Women married to a Domicile Resident of Gujarat.
- If an Applicant is in a Gujarat Government's permanent service.

Through the below mentioned way, the applicant can apply and get Domicile Certificate from Gujarat Government :-
๐ท Online Process through Digital Gujarat Portal
- Resident of Gujarat who are interest to make their Domicile Certificate can apply for it Online through Digital Gujarat Portal.
- It is a dedicated portal through which beneficiary cana avail the multiple services of Government of Gujarat.
- A registration is must need on this portal to apply for services.
- Visit the Portal. and Click on Register.
- Enter mobile number, email, and choose password as shown below :-
- After successful registration, Login again on the portal with Mobile Number or Email ID and Password.
- Applicant will have to complete their citizen profile after login.
- Click on Request a New Service after completing the citizen profile.
- Search for Domicile Certificate and Click on Apply.
- Fill all the asked details in the Online Domicile Certificate Application Form of Gujarat Government.
- Upload all the required documents on the portal in PDF format.
- Pay the nominal application fees and submit the online application form.
- Respective Officials will verify the submitted Domicile Certificate Application Form and uploaded documents.
- After verification, the digitally signed Domicile Certificate of Gujarat will be issued to applicant.
๐ท Through CSC Centre/ JanSeva Kendra
- Applicants can also apply for Domicile Certificate in Gujarat through Common/ Citizen Service Centers. (CSCs)
- CSCs is also known by other name which is Jan Seva Kendra.
- Visit your nearest Jan Seva Kendra/ CSC with all your documents.
- The agent present there will fill the Application Form of Domicile Certificate of Gujarat Govt on behalf of applicant.
- Scanned copy of all the documents will also uploaded by the agent on the portal.
- Applicant will have to pay the nominal fees to the CSC/ Jan Seva Kendra Operator.
- An acknowledgement receipt will be provided by the operator to the applicant for future reference.
- Within 10 to 15 days, applicant will receive the domicile certificate of Gujarat.

- The usual processing time of Domicile Certificate in Gujarat is 10 to 15 working days.

- Applicant can check their Gujarat Government's Domicile Certificate Application Status after login in their account on Digital Gujarat Portal.
- Open the Portal, Login and click on Track Application Status.
- Enter the Application Number and click on search.
- The current status of Gujarat Domicile Certificate Application will appear on the screen of the applicant.
๐ฅ Certificate Download Process
- After the government approved the application of applicant's Domicile Certificate, it can be download by visiting your profile.
- Open the Digital Gujarat Portal, Login with Mobile Number/ Email or Password.
- Click on My Services and select the applied service of Domicile Certificate of Gujarat.
- After that click on Download Certificate, and a Gujarat Government's Digitally Signed Domicile Certificate will downloaded.

- Applicant will have to pay the nominal fees at the time of applying for Domicile Certificate (Resident Certificate) of Gujarat.
- Generally, the application fees will vary from Rs. 20/- to Rs. 100/-.
