Bonafide Himachali Certificate Apply Process

A Bonafide Himachali Certificate is an official document issued by the Government of Himachal Pradesh, certifying that a person is a permanent resident of Himachal Pradesh. It is required for various purposes such as state government jobs, education quota, and availing Himachal-specific welfare schemes.

โœ… Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for and to obtain the Bonafide Himachali Certificate, the applicant must fall under any of the following categories :-

  • Born in Himachal Pradesh.
  • Permanent resident of Himachal Pradesh for at least 20 years.
  • Parents or grandparents are residents of Himachal Pradesh.
  • Having a Permanent Home in Himachal Pradesh but living outside HP for occupation.

๐Ÿ“„ Documents Required

You will need the following documents:-

  • Proof of Residence (Any one) :-
    • Ration Card
    • Electricity Bill
    • Water Bill
    • Land/ Property Record
    • Voter ID
  • Self-Declaration/ Affidavit
  • Aadhaar Card.
  • A letter or Certificate from the Pradhan or Any Local Body Head.
  • Birth Certificate or School Leaving Certificate (for date and place of birth)
  • Passport size photograph.
  • Parent's Bonafide Certificate (if applicable)

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Bonafide Certificate Application Process

Residents of Himachal Pradesh can apply to obtain their Bonafide Himachali Certification through the following ways :-

๐Ÿ”ท Online Process (via Himachal Online Seva Portal)

  • Through the Himachal Government's Online Seva Portal, applicants can apply online for their Bonafide Himachali Certificate.
  • Visit the Portal and Click on Bonafide Himachali Certificate.

  • Read the instructions coming on screen about the Application for Bonafide Himachali Certificate.
  • Click on Sign Up.

  • A registration form will appear in which the applicant will have to enter the Aadhaar Number, Him Parivar ID, Him Member ID or Ration Card and verify it through OTP.

  • Fill in the personal details after verification.
  • Now, the applicant will have to log in on the portal with the issued Him Access ID and password.

  • After Login, Click on "Apply for New Service".

  • Select the Bonafide Himachali Certificate from the G2C Important Service Section.

  • A domicile dashboard will appear from which the applicant will have to select "New Application".

  • A detailed online application form of Himachal Bonafide Certificate will appear in which the applicant will have to fill in the following information :-

  • Applicant will have to pay the government fees of Rs. 55/-.
  • Click on the submit button to submit the Bonafide Himachali Certificate Application Form of the Himachal Pradesh Government.
  • Concerned officials will process the received application form. It will take 10 to 15 working days.

๐Ÿ”ท Online Process (via Him Access Portal)

  • Applicants can also apply for a Bonafide Himachali Certificate through the Himachal Pradesh Government Single Sign On Portal (Him Access Portal)
  • Him Access Portal also known as Himachal SSO Portal also provides the facility to apply for the Himachal Pradesh Bonafide Resident Certificate.
  • The process of registration on the is the same as Himachal Online Seva Portal.
  • After registration log in with your username and password.
  • From All Services, Select HP eDistrict.

  • The Himachal SSO Portal will redirect you to on the Online Seva Portal.
  • From there, the process to apply for the Bonafide Certificate of Himachal Pradesh is the same as mentioned above.

โฑ๏ธ Processing Time

  • The usual processing time of a Bonafide Himachali certificate in Himachal Pradesh is from 10 days to 15 days.

๐Ÿงพ How to Check Application Status Online

  • After submitting the bonafide himachali certificate form, it is advisable to check the status of the application regularly to avoid any delays and rejection.
  • Bonafide Himachali Certificate Application Status can be checked on Online Seva Portal of the Himachal Pradesh Government.
  • From the Citizen Corner, Select Track Application.

๐Ÿงพ How to Check Application Status through SMS

  • Applicants can also check their Domicile Status of the Himachal Pradesh Government by sending a simple SMS.
  • Write HP EDIST <Application No.> and send at any one number :-

  • SMS Charges may be applied as per the applicable rate.

๐Ÿ“ฅ Certificate Download Process

  • After the application got approved, the applicant can download their Bonafide Himachali Certificate by logging in their account on Himachal Online Seva Portal.
  • Select Approved/ Rejected Application.

  • Select the approved one and click on the download certificate.
  • Applicant will receive a Bonafide Himachali Certificate which is digitally signed.

  • The following are the fees paid by the applicant to get a Bonafide Himachali Certificate :-
    • Government Fees :- Rs. 20/-
    • Processing Charges :- Rs. 10/-
    • LMK/ CSC Charges Rs. 25/-
    • Total Charges :- Rs. 55/-

  • If any applicant face any kind of issue regarding obtaining Bonafide Himachali Certificate, then through Himachal Online Seva Portal they then file a grievance.
  • From the Citizen Corner, Choose Feedback/ Grievance.
  • Fill the following grievance form by mentioning your problem thoroughly :-
